5 Tips for a Healthy Day

Hey guys! Being healthy is so important for your body, but we all knew that didn't we? So why is it so hard to stick to a healthy lifestyle? Once you start eating healthy and working out it becomes an addiction. You will love the feeling of your body and mind feeling better. You will realize how easy it is to make yourself feel better just by simply working out and eating healthy.

Here are some tips I love to share with my friends and challengers to help them get a start on a new and healthy lifestyle.

1. Drink Water

I know, I know... you hear this everywhere! But it's so true! You should be drinking AT LEAST half of your body weight in ounces of water per day.

Drinking water has so many benefits. It helps cleanse your system, keep your skin fresh and moisturized and helps keep you feeling more full throughout the day! It helps get rid of headaches, regulates your digestive system and aids in weight loss.

Buy a couple cute water bottles to drink out of. Carry them with you EVERYWHERE.

Don't like plain water? flavor it with some fruit or some veggies to give it some flavor. They even sell water bottles that have infusers in them for this exact reason.

Drink a full glass of water when you first wake up in the morning to get your metabolism going. Then drink another full glass of water before each meal to fill you up some before you start eating. This will help you with over eating.

2. Get That Workout In

Another no brainier for a healthy day. Make sure you get some sort of workout in. Workout in the morning before your day starts, or workout in the afternoon after work. Don't make the excuse that you don't have time, you have to find the time.

Aim to work out at least 30 minutes a day , 5 days a week.

Here's a quick fun one to do, turn on some music and repeat 3 times!

3. Take your Vitamins

It's important to take some sort of vitamin. A multi-vitamin works great! You can also add in little extras like more iron or some biotin depending on what your body needs.

I use Shakeology as my vitamin. It is full of superfoods and vitamins to keep you healthy and to aid in weight loss. Helps with skin, hair,  and nails. It also keeps me full and curbs those darn sweet cravings! I have been drinking it for 3 years and love it!

4. Sneak in Those Veggies and Fruits

Make sure you are eating a couple servings of each per day. Fruits can have a lot of sugar in them but it's a natural sugar and so much better for you than the sugar in juices and sweets.

If you're not a fan of vegetables, try sneaking them into your meals by chopping them up real small. You will learn to love vegetables over time, you just have to find which ones you like!

5. Bring Your Lunch, No Fast Food

The final tip I have for you today is don't eat fast food! Make sure you're either going home for you're lunch or you bring a lunch. Meal prep some healthy lunches on Sunday's so you can just grab and go!  Same with dinner, make something at home. Yes, fast food may be very tasty but it's very bad for you.

I'm sure you knew that but if you break your habits now, in a weeks time you wont be craving those yummy grease filled french fries or burger.

I hope these few tips will help you start your day out right. Make little changes each week to change your lifestyle to a healthier and happier life. Consistency is key !
